Opening an account with Start Line Group is straightforward. You can visit any of our 120 branch locations with a government-issued photo ID (passport or driver's licence), your Social Security Number, and an initial deposit. Alternatively, you can begin the process online through our secure digital banking portal, and a representative will contact you within one business day to complete verification. Most accounts are active within 24–48 hours.

Our standard Personal Savings Account requires a minimum opening deposit of $25. Our Premier Savings Account, which carries a higher interest rate, requires a $500 minimum balance to waive the monthly maintenance fee. For Certificates of Deposit (CDs), the minimum investment starts at $1,000 with terms ranging from 3 months to 5 years. There are no minimum balance requirements for our basic checking accounts.

Yes. Start Line Group is a Member FDIC. The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation insures your deposits up to $250,000 per depositor, per account ownership category. This means joint accounts, retirement accounts (IRAs), and single accounts are insured separately. If you have deposits that may exceed this threshold, we encourage you to speak with one of our advisors about structuring your accounts to maximise coverage.

You can apply for a mortgage in person at any branch or begin your application online through our secure portal. The process typically involves a review of your credit history, income verification, employment history, and the property details. Pre-approval letters are generally issued within 3–5 business days. Our mortgage advisors will walk you through every step — from calculating your affordability to comparing fixed-rate and adjustable-rate options to closing day.

Security is our highest priority. Our digital platforms use 256-bit TLS/SSL encryption, multi-factor authentication (MFA), real-time fraud monitoring, and automatic session timeouts. We employ a dedicated cybersecurity team that monitors our systems 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We will never ask for your password or PIN via email, phone, or text message — if you receive such a request, please report it immediately to our fraud hotline.

Yes. You can access your Start Line Group accounts from anywhere in the world via our online banking portal and mobile application. Our debit and credit cards are accepted globally wherever Visa or Mastercard is accepted. For international wire transfers, please visit a branch or contact our customer service team. We recommend notifying us of international travel in advance to prevent fraud flags on your account.

If your card is lost or stolen, please report it immediately by calling our 24/7 fraud line at 1-800-555-9999, or by logging into online banking and using the "Freeze Card" feature to instantly block all transactions. We will cancel the compromised card and issue a replacement within 5–7 business days. Expedited card delivery is available at no charge for active fraud cases.
